Title: IM to the Bat

Summary: Oliver comes up with an idea concerning the Bat and Superman.

Clark sat at his desk wondering if he should really go through with it. It was just an IM, no harm could come from it. Clark couldn't think about it anymore and closed his laptop. He'd put it off for a while even if Ollie didn't approve.
Just then J'onn called him up to the tower. 'A mission. Great reason to put it off.' Clark thought as he headed up to the watch tower.

J'onn looked over at Superman as he came into sight. "There's been a robbery in Metropolis. It seems that the Joker thinks he'll have better luck in your town." J'onn said as he got the transporter ready. Superman was already on the platform when J'onn continued. "Batman will meet you there." Then he was beemed down to Earth.
Even though Bruce was human it was still amazing how fast he could get somewhere. Batman was behind him in minutes.
"You didn't have to come," Batman started as he looked down at the museum. "I've taken care of the Joker plenty of times before."
"I know." That was all Superman could say. He couldn't find it in him to come back with a 'Well it's my city' or 'J'onn sent me'. No he was preoccupied with something else. Now that he had that chat with Ollie, it seemed that he saw more of The Batman then before.
How his cape came around his figure, and yet you could still see how perfect the uniform fit his lower body. How Batman would lick his lips quickly to moisten them from the cold air. And how....
"Superman." Batman called out looking up at the taller man. "If you're just going to stand there that's fine with me," he said as he swung off the building and over to the museum entrance.
Superman was only seconds behind him as they entered the building. Nothing in the front seemed to be tampered with, but from what Batman had told him the Joker was no simpleton.
The Joker and his minions were placing million dollar paintings into bags when Batman threw a batterrang and caught the sleeve of one guy. The Joker turned around and saw the two. "I was expecting the blue but not the black." he laughed as he rolled a ball toward the two. It opened seconds after hitting Superman's feet. It contained Kryptonite which was affecting Superman quickly.
Batman was fighting off two guys as Superman fell to his knees. With another kick and punch all of the minions had been delt with and were now unconscious. As the Joker ran off with two sacks Batman grabbed the ball, closed it, and threw it as far away as possible.
Superman nodded telling Batman he'd be alright in a bit. That was Batman's signal to go after the Joker.
Batman and the Joker were just down the block from the museum when Superman flew above grabbing the Joker. "Everything would have worked out if that Bat wouldn't have came along." the Joker stated as the police began to arrive.
As he was takin away Superman looked to thank Batman. "He was right." Batman looked over at him. "If you hadn't been here he would have gotten away with all this stuff." Superman said looking down at his feet.
Batman looked away and muttered, "That's why there's teamwork." If Superman had been any one else he wouldn't have heard it, but thanks to his super hearing he could and that brought a smile to his face.

Bruce had gone back to Gotham to make sure the Joker was put in jail and Clark returned to the tower. When he opened his laptop he could see that Oliver had returned from his mission too.
~GReeN~: so did you do it?
~BLUE~: had a mission
~GReeN~: sure u did
~BLUE~: ask J'onn
~GReeN~: okay i believe you
~GReen~: r u going to do it?
~BLUE~: after today's mission
~BLUE~: yeah
~GReeN~: wait what happened on the mission?!
